What you will be working on

Strategic Transformation of Blood Services
- Support pioneering initiative to transform blood collection and banking services through strategic partnerships with private sector vendors
- Implement new operating models that enhance service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality, with a primary focus on outsourcing certain functions
- Implement innovative frameworks for vendor management and quality assurance
- Support digital transformation and process automation across blood banking operations
- Audit operation process between SRC and BSG for blood donation drive to improve efficency and better customer satifaction.
Regulatory Transformation Review
- Support the redesign of front-facing health regulatory operations, specifically creating a one-stop health regulatory hub to deal with queries, concerns and feedback from stakeholders and members of the public
- Faciliate the integration of related regulatory functions currently distributed across different organisations, specifically how to enhance the health regulatory operations to be more efficient and pro-enterprise
- Faciliate potential merger and acquisition initiatives to optimise regulatory oversight
- Support innovative regulatory approaches that maintain robust safety standards while enhancing efficiency
Enhancing forensic scientific and forensic medicine operations
- Maintain standard operating procedures for evidence handling between forensic labs, law enforcement, and medical examiners to streamline workflows and reduce processing delays
- Implement quality assurance protocols for forensic analyses and medical examinations, ensuring consistency and reliability across different departments and institutions
- Enforce clear protocols for handling public enquiries and requests related to forensic cases, ensuring timely and appropriate responses while maintaining confidentiality
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to identify and address inefficiencies in forensic workflows and stakeholder interactions
Support to Chief of Staff
Director, Operations Excellence (DOE) will also serve as the Chief of Staff (CoS) to CEO, HSA. CoS plays a crucial role in organisations by serving as a strategic advisor, operational leader, and key communicator, ensuring that executives can focus on high-priority tasks. As PM, you will support CoS in carrying out his duties.
- Strategic Planning and Alignment: The CoS is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s strategies are clearly defined and aligned across teams. This includes managing progress tracking frameworks, such as OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Operational Oversight: The Chief of Staff oversees various operational processes, including working with respective secretariat in organizing executive meetings, preparing for board meetings, and managing the executive's schedule. Together we ensure that meetings are productive and objectives are met.
- Communication Management: Acting as a liaison between the executive and other stakeholders, the CoS workly with CCSQ on coporate communications, synthesises information for decision-making, and often help CEO HSA to clear the initial drafts documents such as newsletters, presentations, and speeches.
- Project Management: The CoS drives special projects that require collaboration across multiple teams. They ensure that these projects align with the organisation’s strategic goals and are completed efficiently.
- Problem Solving and Decision Support: The CoS identifies core issues within business processes and provides actionable recommendations. They also evaluate risks associated with critical business decisions, acting as a trusted advisor to the HSA Exco.
- Team Leadership and Development: The CoS often guides department heads and teams, helping to enhance overall efficiency and performance. They set key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive improvements.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 5-9 years of relevant experience, in operational roles within healthcare or related industries
- Strong background in Healthcare operations
- Experience in managing healthcare projects and vendor relationships
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and medical protocols
- Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement
- Digital transformation and AI integration experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management
- Problem-solving capabilities with a customer-service orientation
The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
