Senior Engineer (Bridges & Structural Steel Department)
What the role is
We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment.
What you will be working on
You will be part of the team that administers the Building Control Act and Regulations to ensure Safe Design and Construction in the Built Environment Sector.
Responsibilities
Processing and approving the structural plans and calculations of the buildings submitted by Professional Engineers and Accredited Checkers.
Performing audit checks on selected structures, conducting construction site checks and taking proactive actions to prevent damage to adjacent properties.
Investigation into reports on building works / buildings that are dangerous and assess their structural integrity and safety.
Working closely with cross-functional teams involving internal and external stakeholders in development of policies and technical guides.
What we are looking for
A degree in civil and structural engineering.
At least 4 years of working experience in structural design and analysis of buildings or infrastructures.
Preferably a registered professional engineer with Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore; or at least have passed the Practice of Professional Engineering Examination (PPE) administered by PEB.
Successful candidates will be offered contract employment.
