You will be part of a dynamic team to plan and deploy internal enterprise systems, and maintain their operational readiness to support mission-critical IT processes. You will help implement robust operational frameworks to ensure systems remain scalable, high-performing, and cyber-resilient.
You will maintain oversight, conduct regular performance reviews, and recommend process improvements to ensure systems comply with commercial, whole-of-government, and domain best practices.
This is both a digital and cybersecurity role, where you will effectively harden infrastructure, architecture, and platform configurations against sophisticated cyber threats.

What you will be working on
You will be managing system and project lifecycles, including planning for upgrades, decommissioning, and tracking time-to-live for technology refreshes. You will assess operational risks and assist in disaster recovery planning by aligning recovery point objectives and recovery time objectives. You will also ensure project compliance across key governance stages, such as scope of need and approval of requirement. In addition, you will support vendor governance by guiding daily operations and evaluating vendor performance to ensure budget utilisation.
What we are looking for
You should have a tertiary education, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, with relevant experience in managing backend systems, network infrastructure, and/or cybersecurity. You must possess good written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, and translate business requirements into actionable operational plans. Possession of certifications in IT service management, IT operation management, and/or enterprise architecture is advantageous. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
