Assistant Director / Senior Manager (Data Governance & Management)

As Assistant Director / Senior Manager (Data Governance & Management), you will establish and oversee the framework that ensures an GRA’s data is accurate, secure, and used responsibly. You will act as the bridge between technical IT teams and business users to align data practices with organizational goals, and Integrated Data Management Framework (IDMF), and addresses GRA’s and WOG's governance requirements.

1. Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures across the complete data lifecycle. 2. Ensure adherence and compliance to Whole of Government (WOG) requirements and legalisations (e.g., PDPA), internal data governance policies and standards; and promote the secure and responsible use of data. 3. Provide data quality oversight such as defining standards for data accuracy and consistency and coordinating remediation plans when quality issues arise. 4. Perform metadata management by maintaining data dictionaries, business terms glossaries, and lineage documentation to ensure users understand data definitions, origins and history of changes. 5. Lead the design, development and implementation of AI ready data architectures that support the training and operations of AI models and services used. 6. Responsible for end-to-end incident management of data related incident. 7. Work with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to ensure that the agency’s systems and digital infrastructure support the efficient and effective management and exploitation of data to support business operations. 8. Work with relevant stakeholders to build agency and staff capabilities in data literacy in data analysis, data predictions and AI operations.

• Background in Infocomm Technology or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering • At least 10 years of working experience in data governance, data management data warehouse management, data analytic project management • Strong foundation in data architecture, data quality management and database technologies • Familiar with data protection laws and policies such as PDPA and IM8 PDM • Technically competent in programming using Tableau, MS-SQL, PowerBI • Working knowledge of data analytical and visualization tools • Good verbal and written communication skills • Good interpersonal skills
