What you will be working on
Join CPIB’s Data & Governance Branch as a data professional to enable data-driven decision-making across the Bureau.
You should have at least 2 years of experience working on data-related projects and be able to speak both 'data' and 'business' fluently. You will be collaborating with and across teams to gather requirements, manage data-related projects, and transform data into clear, actionable insights.
As an Executive / Senior Executive / Manager (Data & Governance), you will handle a spectrum of activities and processes which include (but not limited to):
• [Data Governance] Support the implementation of data governance policies and data management best practices in the Bureau.
• [Data Exploration and Analysis] Clean, analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• [Data Visualisation and Integration] Design, develop, and maintain dashboards using tools like Tableau that enable stakeholders to explore data independently.
• [Project Scoping and Management] Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to translate business problems into technical specifications for data solutions. Oversee data projects lifecycle from scoping through to commission/ implementation.
• [Data Storytelling and Communication] Facilitate discussions on data projects between technical teams and business users. Transform complex data analysis into clear and compelling narratives to business stakeholders and senior management.
What we are looking for
At least 2 years of professional experience in data-related roles. (Relevant internships can be considered). Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or a related field.
• [Data Exploration and Analysis] Strong understanding of data modelling principles and database concepts. Able to clean, validate and analyse datasets to extract meaningful insights.
• [Data Visualisation and Integration] Experience creating interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools. Able to connect and integrate data from multiple sources into unified views to facilitate decision making.
• [Project Scoping and Management] Solid understanding of project management fundamentals. Experience facilitating requirements gathering and translating business needs into technical solutions for data solutions. Experience in managing data project(s) throughout its lifecycle.
• [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements] Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience with Tableau, Neo4j, Dataiku, Databricks will be advantageous.
