Project Manager (Historic Site)
What the role is
What you will be working on
Procurement and Contract Management
Prepare tender specifications for calling of any consultancy services and construction works in accordance with public sector guidelines.
Oversee tender preparation, tender launch, tender evaluation and award for multi-disciplinary consultants and conservation consultancy services.
Administer consultancy and contractor agreements including fee payments and any potential scope variations.
Project Management & Delivery
Develop comprehensive project timeline and monitor progress against key milestones.
Identify project risks and mitigation measures
Manage multi-disciplinary teams including but not limited to Architects, Conservation Specialists, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Contractors in their design studies and site works.
Oversee contractors carrying out preservation and construction works on site
Facilitate engagement with regulatory authorities such as URA, LTA, BCA. Ensure project compliance with statutory regulations, preservation guidelines and project governance guidelines.
Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and partners on architectural and heritage matters.
Prepare high-quality briefing papers, presentations, and reports for management and stakeholders.
What we are looking for
Background in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture and/or related field.
About 10 years construction/project management experience, preferably in heritage and conservation projects.
Strong understanding of Singapore building regulatory system and experience with public sector procurement processes.
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare clear, concise papers for senior management.
Strong presentation skills and confidence in fronting queries from diverse stakeholders.
Strong understanding of historical sensitivities and experience in building conservation would be advantageous
Proficiency in software such as Sketchup/Enscape, and Adobe Photoshop would be advantageous.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
