What the role is

As a Product Manager Trainee at Digital Excellence & Products Division (DXD), you will support a team that shapes student learning experiences through technology by assisting with Education Technology (EdTech) innovation and product development. These EdTech products are part of a suite of national teaching and learning platforms used by all teachers and students.

What you will be working on

1. Market & User Research (Discovery) - Assist in conducting market analysis and competitor research to identify trends in EdTech and AI. - Analyze customer feedback, support tickets, and user interview notes to identify pain points for teachers and students. - Help translate raw data into actionable insights that inform product positioning and feature development. 2. Product Execution & Operations (The "How") - Assist in writing clear product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Help maintain and prioritize the product backlog (Jira/Linear) based on business value and resources. - Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure new AI features meet quality standards before launch. What You Will Learn - The Project Management (PM) Lifecycle: Hands-on experience with the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to post-launch optimization. - AI in Practice: Real-world exposure to building and shipping AI products (Adaptive Learning & Intelligent Assistants). - Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with engineers and designers. - Mentorship: Direct guidance and feedback from experienced Product Managers.

What we are looking for

1. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear summaries or presentations 2. Organised and detail-oriented, with the experience to coordinate tasks or logistics across multiple stakeholders 3. Comfortable using modern collaboration tools Slack, Teams, Miro, Figma. 4. Vibe coding capabilities will be an advantage.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
