As a Statistician in the Communications and Engagement Division, your responsibilities include:
• Developing new and enhanced capabilities for the Department’s public facing Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chatbot, i.e., Statistics ANd Data Retrieval A.I. assistant (SANDRA).
• Profiling SANDRA’s capabilities to various target user segments.
• Communicating and disseminating official statistics through various communication platform.

What you will be working on
• Support the expansion of SANDRA's scope to cover all data formats in the SingStat Table Builder, including cross-sectional and multi-dimensional tables, as well as contents on the SingStat Website such as publications, methodological papers, infographics, dashboards, glossary, and FAQs.
• Share statistical domain knowledge with vendors to facilitate development and identify enhancements to improve SANDRA's system capabilities.
• Continuously monitor and track SANDRA's responses to ensure accuracy, address user feedback, and handle service queries and requests.
• Support publicity and outreach efforts on SANDRA, including conducting sharing sessions to government agencies and the public.
• Conduct regular benchmarking against similar systems by other agencies, national statistical offices, and international organisations to identify best practices and emerging features for continuous enhancement.
• Assist with crafting of requirement specifications, create test cases, and conduct User Acceptance Testing to ensure SANDRA meets user needs and maintains high accuracy standards.
• Undertake research and stay abreast of key developments in AI-related applications for public-facing services and statistical dissemination.
• Support the development of marketing communication materials for various public-facing and internal channels, including social media posts, EDMs, and publicity materials across different platforms.
What we are looking for

• Knowledge or experience in areas of AI development and applications is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Adobe suite (e.g., Illustrator) with graphic design capabilities and experience in data visualisation and storytelling.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent writing, presentation, communications and engagement skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Meticulous and resourceful.
• Works well both independently and as a member of a team.
