What you will be working on
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in MINDEF and respective Services for defence relations engagements
- Oversee principals' DR calendar to plan and prepare for incoming/outgoing visits and bilateral forums
- Lead preparation of briefing notes to support principals in discussions with defence partners, including clearing minutes, notes of calls, and congratulatory and valedictory letters
- Head Secretariat for High-Level Meetings and respective Sub-Forums
- Lead planning of engagement programmes to strengthen relationships with defence partners

What we are looking for
- Education in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, History or Social Sciences related fields
- At least 15 years of experience in defence relations/policy/research work or related areas
- Experience in research and analysis preferred
- Ability to lead and motivate team with high level of maturity
- Interpersonal skills for networking with internal and external stakeholders
- Deep understanding of defence partners with language skills such as Bahasa Indonesia critical for effective communication
- Granular planning, organisational and communication skills with high emotional intelligence
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to think critically to analyse and synthesise large amounts of information
- comfortable working independently or as part of team
- Ability to manage team dynamics effectively
