What the role is

The People & Culture Group, a department in Public Service Division, provides strategic and operational shared HR services to many public agencies under its care. We implement best-in-class people practices to help public agencies build a high-performing and engaged workforce, enabling them to achieve their organizational mission and strategic goals. Under the People & Culture Group, the Organisational Development, Culture & Well-Being (ODCWB) and the Growth & Development (G&D) specialist centres support the development of teams and individuals, so that our people and organisation can flourish. The two teams work closely together to diagnose organisational and team health, learning and development needs, and facilitate conversations across the organisation to implement stakeholder-centric initiatives to build a desired culture, growth and learning opportunities. As a #PPPintern, you will be part of several exciting projects to drive employee engagement, community building, and well-being.

What you will be working on

Our #PeoplePurposePossibilities internship will provide valuable exposure to the strategic and data-driven aspects of human resource development, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of progressive people practices to agencies. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a consulting-practitioner through the following: • Drive employee wellness and development, Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and design supporting programmes • Build a desired corporate culture anchored around agencies’ business objectives and corporate values. This includes (but is not limited to) developing initiatives to improve organisational culture, employees’ well-being and competency driven growth. • Develop creative, engaging and effective internal communication of key corporate messages through suitable platforms (e.g. town halls, leadership addresses, etc.) • Design and execute learning events tailored to address identified learning needs and support career progression pathways • Be part of data analysis and automation projects (e.g. AI chat bots and automation of routine tasks)

You should possess good written and oral communication skills. • [Data Analytics and Insights] Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in leveraging data to drive HR decision-making. • [Learning and Development] Keen to explore new ways of learning and able to suggest creative and new ideas, with a keen sense of programme and user experience design. Good project management skills, able to sense-make and propose sound solutions, and have a keen interest in leveraging data to drive development-related interventions.
