What the role is

We welcome you to join our team as: SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY & TRANSFORMATION DIVISION (2-YEAR CONTRACT)

What you will be working on

The Innovation, Technology & Transformation Division (“ITX”) is an integrated, cross-court unit overseeing transformation within SG Courts. ITX’s mandate is to drive business and operating model shifts, policy and service delivery transformation, and implement technology and data capabilities across SG Courts. A priority of the SG Courts over the mid-term is innovation and technology. ITX is responsible for the entire transformation cycle: from horizon-scanning, strategy and policy planning, to business process re-engineering and technology implementation. The successful candidate will: • Take charge of specific technology and innovation projects and initiatives; • Develop an enterprise architecture blueprint in enabling SG Courts to achieve its digital transformation goals; • Work closely with the team to consolidate data into a centralised data lake; • Engage stakeholders to articulate the backend and frontend needs for a possible consolidation of the various Courts’ case management systems and establish a feasible plan to do so; and • Engage technology vendors in partnership with the Courts’ IT departments and with stakeholders, including driving and coordinating with all stakeholders and vendors in projects and initiatives and managing all phases of the projects and initiatives to ensure that they are executed properly and completed on time.

What we are looking for

• Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) or experience in handling technology and/or business process re-engineering or digital transformation will be an advantage. • Proven track record of delivering process improvement projects, ideally with Legal Technology • Demonstrated record of developing advisory relationships with key stakeholders with the ability to influence decisions and outcomes • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to collaborate with other colleagues, work across functions and gather user needs for implementation into systems, handle process mapping with proper documentation of requirements. • Able to understand complex workflow and recommend improvements to existing processes, and to work independently and accomplish objectives in a fluid, often unprecedented, work environment.
