The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and support the Home Team Departments (HTD) operations in maintaining order and enhancing security for Singapore.
As our Lead Engineer/Engineer working in Vehicle and Weapon Systems Centre of Expertise, you will be spear-heading the capability development on electromagnetic technologies. In addition, you will be leading and providing engineering and technical solutions to ensure that the electromagmnetic systems developed by HTX are optimally designed, integrated and interoperable with new and existing platforms and Information Communication Technology (ICT) systems.
You are expected to explore new technical solutions, formulate support concepts and governance framework to develop innovative and cost effective solutions to ensure continued mission success for HTD operations. You will help to lead and bring electromagnetic systems capability development to new heights to support HTD missions.
What you will be working on
Conduct research and experiments on high power signals across electromagnetic spectrum.
Support development of electromagnetic systems including prototyping with incorporation of new technological capabilities.
Conceptualize system solutions and architectures to integrate electromagnetic systems with relevant external systems.
Conduct design reviews and project meetings with HTD users and contractors.
Plan and conduct Installation, Checkout, Integration & Testing follows by system commissioning and training activities for electromagnetic systems.
Support system safety assessment of electromagnetic systems.
Devise or review test plans & procedures and conduct of trials & testing for electromangnetic systems.
Keep abreast of new and relevant technologies to innovate new electromagnetic systems development.
What we are looking for
Good tertiary education in Electrical & Electronic Engineering preferably with strong foundation in electromagnetic and optical technology.
Preferably with 3 to 5 years relevant working experiences in electromagnetic product design, development and validation. Releavnt experiences in system integration onto platforms, communication network systems or other relevant sensor systems will be advantageous.
Take initiative at work to resolve ground issues.
Strong project management and engineering skillset will be advantageous.
Effective communication skills i.e. verbally and writing.
*** All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance. Upon confirmation, the candidate will be emplaced into permanent position.
