What the role is

We are seeking an experienced Senior Assistant Director, Finance and Assets Management to lead financial operations at ACE Finance, driving strategic policy development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening organisational governance through robust financial management practices.

What you will be working on

You will lead comprehensive financial operations across ACE, overseeing budget management, accounts receivable and payables, grant administration, and asset management throughout their complete lifecycle. You'll develop robust policies and procedures to strengthen governance frameworks whilst providing expert advisory support on finance policies, regulatory compliance, and statutory obligations to senior management and operational teams. In addition, you will drive process innovation through technology integration and digital transformation initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. Your role includes overseeing budget planning and resource allocation, coordinating critical financial submissions to the Auditor-General's Department and Ministry of Finance, and leading year-end financial closing processes. Additionally, you'll manage comprehensive grant development and compliance monitoring whilst leading special projects and strategic initiatives that support ACE's mission.

What we are looking for

• Tertiary qualification in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field • Minimum 5-8 years finance experience with 3 years in management roles • Strong knowledge of public sector financial management and regulatory compliance • Proven grant development and management experience • Expertise in budget planning, financial analysis and performance reporting • Proficiency in financial systems and data analytics tools • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
