You will be responsible for human resource Management (HRM) and human resource administration (HRA) functions for the National Service (NS) population in the Formation. You will plan, develop, deploy, award and manage day-to-day HRM & HRA to ensure effective operation of the Succession Planning Section whilst coordinating with various agencies to implement policy updates and support headquarters decision-making.

What you will be working on
- Oversee comprehensive HRM & HRA for the NS population including staffing and manning, succession and courses planning, promotion, awards and recognition
- Manage resource allocation to optimise deployment of NS personnel to appointments
- Consolidate the Formation's succession planning picture and provide inputs for NS appointments
- Liaise with various commands and centres to seek nominations for key appointments
- Submit appointment clearances and quarterly reviews for various ranks and appointments
- Serve as secretariat for NS Recommendation Board and Annual Succession Planning discussions
- Coordinate with stakeholders on recognition, awards, promotion, and medical appointments
- Manage system tagging, volunteer applications and extensions, and Certificate of Appreciation processes
- Support Army Appreciation Dinner Committee responsibilities including seating, invitation, ceremony, registration and ushering arrangements
Challenge(s)
- Balancing adherence to established policies and procedural deadlines with the need to meet variable operational manpower demands through judicious decision-making and prioritisation
- Ensuring data accuracy and reliability of manpower records whilst continuously enhancing administrative workflows and processes to reduce inefficiencies in a complex and dynamic operational environment
What we are looking for
- Degree qualification, preferably with knowledge in Human Resource Management
- At least 6 years of working experience in similar capacity, preferably in military or large organisational HR management
- Proficiency in computer literacy including Microsoft Office and data analytics tools such as Qlik Sense Power BI
- Strong social skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders across different organisational levels
- Strong managerial skills in handling various tasks within specific timeframes whilst maintaining quality standards
- Critical thinking, creative thinking and emotional intelligence capabilities to effectively manage people and complex administrative tasks
