Assistant Manager/Manager (Finance Services Department) – Contract

What the role is

You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. In the Finance Service Department, you will be responsible for the following:

What you will be working on

  • Manage and process payments to ensure timely and accurate disbursements in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Verify claims and supporting documents for compliance with financial regulations
  • Advise departments on payment methods, documentation requirements, and tax matters
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for payments
  • Processing Direct Credit Authorisation Forms and updating of vendors’ records in financial system
  • Monitor grant budgets, commitments, and utilisation
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on grant disbursement matters
  • Extract, analyse data, and prepare reports and accounting schedules
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required

What we are looking for

The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:

  • A Degree in Accountancy or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Meticulous, with an eye for detail
  • A resourceful and self-motivated individual, who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • A good team player who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, especially Microsoft Excel
