You will manage the daily operations of acquisitions of purchased library materials and regulatory services for NLB, which contributes to NLB’s Learning Marketplace.

What you will be working on

  • Manage daily operations and functions for procurement of physical library materials in accordance with approved policies and guidelines as well as the terms and conditions in the contracts
  • Manage and track operational and system related issues to ensure timely resolution by staff or relevant departments
  • Perform data analysis on performance indicators and trends for procurement of library materials and regulatory services.
  • Manage contracts on sourcing and supply of library materials with appointed vendors
  • Develop strategic working relationship with vendors
  • Organise quarterly meetings and annual engagement session with vendors
  • Prepare reports for vendors’ meetings and performance
  • Front vendors’ and publishers’ enquiries and feedback
  • Manage daily operations of regulatory services
  • Provide support with regular internal and external audits for procurement of library materials
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and participate in cross functional projects

What we are looking for

  • Preferably with 2 years of relevant experience in an acquisition, procurement or operations role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical/problem solving and documentation abilities
  • Strong and proactive team player with good networking skills
  • Meticulous and strong motivated individual with drive to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel and QlikSense
  • Familiar with government procurement processes is advantageous

The successful applicant will first be appointed on a 2-year contract basis.
