The Department of Student Development (SD) aims to provide all SP students with positive Polytechnic experience through meaningful out-of-classroom activities.

The Administrative and Finance Manager supports the Student Development (SD) Department in driving operational excellence and finance stewardship. On top of managing CCA clubs, this role also manages a team of administrative staff, oversees administrative operation and finance matters.

The job also requires the appointee to take on roles in committees while supporting the administrative system and processes of the department and section. He/she should be open to job mobility.

What you will be working on

1. Club Management & Student Development

  • Manage Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) clubs in SP and oversee administrative matters for the clubs. Guide and develop students including succession planning and leader mentorship.

2. People Management & Leadership Communication

  • Manage a team of administrative staff. Ensure clear communication, team alignment with departmental goals, and strong staff engagement.

3. Administration & Operations Management

  • Oversee administrative operations, business asset management, CCA facility management and serve as key liaison for Student Administration System, IT, and legal matters.

  • Manage procurement of outsourced staff. Work closely with them on facility maintenance and inspections and day-to-day operational matters.

4. Finance Management

  • Serve as Budget Manager for the Student Development Department.

  • Maintain budget tracking for department funds and provide advice on finance processes.

  • Monitor procurement lapses and ensure compliance with financial governance standards.

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Administration, or related field.

  • At least 5 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in the area of education or student development.

  • Experience working with youth or education institutions preferred.

  • Display a passion for student development and working with youths.

  • Meticulous with strong operational, communicative and administrative skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
