This is a hybrid role combining data governance, data engineering and project management responsibilities. The person will support our data governance and data capabilities initiatives, while also supporting digital programme delivery through project management processes.

What you will be working on
• Support and contribute to the implementation and management of data governance framework, including data standards, policies, and data quality rules.
• Collaborate with business units to define data definitions, catalogue, master records, and data architecture to build data use cases.
• Deploy within in-house development teams as data subject matter expert to build data pipelines, transform data into usable formats, develop data products, and implement new data capabilities.
• In charge of project planning, project risk management, stakeholder communication and reporting, procurement and vendor coordination, budget tracking in ensuring compliance with agency project management and procurement policies and processes.
• Provide project management support (e.g. provisioning of licenses, professional services and tooling) to in-house development teams to facilitate the delivery of digital solutions across Home Team Departments.
What we are looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Preferably 2 to 5 years of experience in data governance, data engineering, or IT project management roles
• Familiarity with data governance principles and frameworks with experience in areas such as Python, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric are advantageous
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or an equivalent professional qualification will be considered an advantage
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
