Planning Officer - SPF/SDD

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. The Service Delivery Department is the staff authority for service delivery matters for SPF. Our primary role is to ensure the delivery of high service standards by SPF officers in every interaction with the public so that SPF can discharge its mission effectively and professionally. As a Planning Officer in the department, you will oversee all service-related planning matters, including staffing of meetings, policy reviews and resourcing-related matters. You will also manage cross-cutting service initiatives such as implementation and maintenance of WOG service initiatives in SPF, working closely with system owners to implement and enhance digital services; putting in place policies, procedures and standards to raise the quality and transform the future landscape of Police digital services. In addition, you will oversee the department’s budget planning, monitoring and execution, and working closely with project officers and other stakeholders to secure approval of requirements and budget, monitoring cashflow and expenses and submitting regular reports on budget requirements and expenditure.

• Drive service-related planning matters and formulate long-term service strategies into actional plans for SPF • Support the revamp of service design of all digital services with system owners to make them more citizen centric, more accessible and easier to navigate • Support the revamp of SPF corporate website to re-organise digital services and make the informational requirements clear to all applicants • Support the implementation of new digital services and the enhancement of existing digital services across the SPF • Ensure the accurate and timely budget projection/expenditure to ensure efficient and effective use of budget • Ensure the timely submission and approval of budget requirements or procurement plan to support timely project implementation

• Relevant background • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Good team player and at the same time, able to work well independently • Demonstrate a strong sense of integrity • Good time management and able to meet tight deadlines • Organised and detail-oriented • Committed and resilient under pressure • Background in UI/UX design and experience in digital services projects will be advantageous Application To be part of our team, please submit an online application via www.careers.gov.sg.
