What the role is

You provide specialist expertise in Training Development to support Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) officers and warfare specialisation courses conducted at the unit. You ensure that all training programmes, courses and workshops meet the highest standards of excellence, relevance and instructional quality whilst remaining aligned with operational requirements and contemporary training best practices.

What you will be working on

- Work closely with instructional staff, programme owners and operational units to design, review, validate and continuously improve training outcomes through evidence-based training development methodologies - Provide specialist guidance and influence stakeholders across key competency areas including Training Needs Analysis, Curriculum Development, Course Evaluation, and Training Leadership Development - Support the development and enhancement of RSN officers and warfare specialisation courses to ensure they meet evolving operational requirements - Apply contemporary training best practices and evidence-based methodologies to enhance training effectiveness and learning outcomes - Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure training programmes maintain high standards of instructional quality and operational relevance Challenge(s) - Managing wide job scope and high workload whilst maintaining quality standards across multiple training development initiatives - Understanding evolving RSN training requirements and fast-following new developments into training development products to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness

What we are looking for

- Tertiary qualification in Education, Training and Development, Instructional Design, or related fields - Relevant experience in training development with demonstrated ability to guide and influence stakeholders - Strong competencies in Training Needs Analysis with ability to identify and assess training requirements effectively - Expertise in Curriculum Development including design, implementation and continuous improvement of training programmes - Experience in Course Evaluation with skills in assessing training effectiveness and learning outcomes - Training Leadership Development capabilities with ability to enhance instructional staff competencies - Understanding of military or naval training environments and operational requirements would be advantageous - Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to work collaboratively across different organisational levels Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
