You will play a key role in driving JTC's solar initiatives across rooftop and land-based installations, leading the charge in sustainable energy deployment. As a C&S engineer, you will spearhead the planning, identification, assessment, and implementation of solar projects throughout JTC's portfolio, and may also support solar initiatives for other agencies. You will also contribute to building development projects, including innovative industrial buildings and Centex developments, delivering optimised and innovative building design solutions whilst maintaining structural integrity and design excellence.

What you will be working on
1. Assess and identify suitable land and rooftop spaces for solar deployment across JTC's industrial estates and developments
2. Conduct site and structural assessments and feasibility studies to determine solar installation viability and capacity
3. Manage tender processes for solar projects, from preparation of tender documents to contractor selection
4. Project manage solar installations from conception to completion, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors, including managing solar contracts and handling contractual issues
5. Evaluate business viability of solar projects, including cost-benefit analysis and return on investment assessments
6. Drive innovation in solar technology adoption and explore emerging sustainable energy solutions
7. Support building development projects through design reviews, gathering user requirements, and developing concept designs
8. Collaborate with internal design teams for building design management to ensure successful project implementation
What we are looking for
Background in Civil & Structural Engineering. Having 1-2 years of relevant experience would be an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate a strong passion for advancing sustainable energy solutions and solar technology, with an eagerness to learn and explore innovative renewable energy approaches and building design development. Self-driven, curious, innovative, and collaborative, with good interpersonal skills, project management abilities, and creative problem-solving capabilities.
