What the role is

As Senior Manager/ Manager , Research Coordination and Administration you will assist in providing comprehensive research support services to CDA researchers. You will assist with day-to-day research support operations encompassing but not limited to grants management, research budget, contracts facilitation, and stakeholder coordination. You will also be involved in establishing and implementing research support processes, and training programmes for CDA researchers and staff. You will also coordinate the enterprise risk management efforts for research.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What you will be working on

Grant and Funding Management

  • Manage pre- and post-award grant funding activities including identifying funding opportunities, supporting grant applications, and overseeing grant compliance and reporting

Research Operations Support

  • Provide comprehensive research administrative support to researchers in CDA across diverse research needs
  • Facilitate  research contracts, agreements, and collaborative partnerships with both local and international partners/ stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support research training programmes for relevant CDA researchers and staff

Performance and Process Management

  • Monitor and report on the key performance indicators listed or relevant to the agreed research outcomes
  • Develop and implement various research support processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Support CDA Research Group’s branding and communication  initiatives
  • Coordinate enterprise risk management efforts related to CDA Research Group’s operations

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary education in any discipline, preferably in Biomedical Research, Healthcare, Finance or related fields
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management,  particularly in the field of research administration, grants management or contract facilitation
  • Demonstrated stakeholders’ management and interpersonal communication skills to coordinate diverse research collaborations and partnerships
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to research requirements and operational details
  • Experience with performance monitoring, reporting, and impact assessment in the field of research
  • Meticulous with data or numerical values, and collaborative team player
  • Excellent communication and writing skills for research documentation, reporting and training materials
  • Independent, self-driven and capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic research environment with competing priorities

The successful candidate will be offered an initial 2-year contract.
