What you will be working on
We are looking for a Manager (Business Partnership Teams), PCG.
As Manager (Business Partnership Teams), you'll serve as the critical connector between business needs and HR solutions, ensuring agencies have the right capability and capacity to deliver on their strategic objectives. You'll maintain a pulse on officers across your portfolio, providing timely insights to make workforce decisions. As a senior last-mile-delivery role, you are accountable for the eventual delivery of HR products and services to agencies (leaders and employees), ensuring tight-knitted collaboration with specialist centres and plugging the 'gaps' or contextualising where necessary. You may be forward deployed and stationed onsite at agencies with hybrid work arrangements.
The scope of your role includes the following:
• Strategic HR Business Partnership
o Partner with agency Senior Management Teams as their trusted strategic HR advisor, translating business strategies into comprehensive people strategies that drive organisational performance and employee engagement
o Co-design and implement HR strategies effectively, together with the business and specialist centres, to better attract, retain, develop, engage and motivate employees. This includes operationalising WOG HR policies and initiatives effectively at the agency and cluster level, ensuring seamless integration with business objectives
• Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
o Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for your agency clusters, from workforce planning and talent sourcing to candidate assessment and onboarding, ensuring agencies attract and secure top talent aligned to their strategic needs
o Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies and employer branding initiatives that position agencies as employers of choice in competitive talent markets
• HR Service Delivery and Integration
o Orchestrate the seamless delivery of integrated HR services across recruitment, payroll, performance management, and employee relations, providing expert guidance on complex people matters to both senior leaders and officers while ensuring fair and consistent policy application
o Collaborate closely with HR specialist centers and Whole-of-Government partners to drive process improvements, technology integration, and best practice sharing across the public service ecosystem

[Recruitment & Employer Branding]: You analyse workforce trends to anticipate recruitment needs and conduct proactive talent sourcing initiatives. You design recruitment processes that align with organizational strategy while delivering exceptional candidate experiences that strengthen employer brand.
[Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgement]: You consider stakeholder needs and both short- and long-term implications when proposing HR solutions, making sound judgements about different strategic options by synthesising workforce data and understanding ground realities. You anticipate and prepare for stakeholder queries when implementing new initiatives.
[Improving and Innovating Continuously]: You create safe environments for challenging the status quo in HR practices, encouraging experimentation with new approaches while managing risks and resources effectively. You proactively identify opportunities to scale successful HR innovations across your agency portfolio.

There are structured opportunities for internal job rotations in the People & Culture Group or other PSD functions during your career with us.
