What the role is

2026 is designated as the Year of Climate Adaptation, during which the Government will be engaging the public through focus group discussions (FGDs) and an exhibition showcasing Singapore’s climate adaptation efforts. The intern will support the planning and delivery of the public exhibition and FGDs. The intern will work closely with government agencies, stakeholders and the appointed events management company to coordinate exhibition content, prepare for the exhibition launch, and facilitate visitor participation. You will also assist in the planning and execution of FGDs, support event logistics, and capture insights from participants. The internship will provide opportunities for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the public service, in the areas of event management, stakeholder engagement, and public communications.

What you will be working on

a) Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) design and preparation • Support the planning, organisation and facilitation of FGDs and other stakeholder engagement sessions. • Assist in the preparation of discussion guides, educational materials, presentation slides and publicity materials for FGDs and engagement sessions. • Facilitate the discussion and/or take notes during FGDs and engagement sessions to capture key insights and discussions. • Support the collection, synthesis and reporting of insights from the FGDs and other engagement sessions • Assist with logistical arrangements such as session preparation, sending out invitations, collating RSVPs, on-site events management. b) Exhibition Coordination & Project Support • Track and consolidate content submissions, feedback and revisions from agencies and partners. • Assist with editing and proofreading exhibition content, captions and materials. • Work with the appointed events management company to support preparations for the exhibition launch and related event logistics. • Assist with guest coordination for the exhibition launch, including preparing invitation lists, tracking RSVPs and supporting event communications. • Coordinate with partners and organisations bringing visitor groups to the exhibition • Work with events management company and partners to showcase their climate adaptation projects or initiatives as part of the exhibition.

What we are looking for

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in writing • Strong interpersonal skills • Meticulous • Good project management skills • Are comfortable with stakeholder engagement and event support logistics • Prior experience in supporting exhibitions or stakeholder engagements will be an advantage • Able to commit at least 4 months, especially during the critical project period (Aug – Nov 2026) Period of Internship: May to Nov 2026 (Negotiable)
