What you will be working on
Strategic Operations Management
• Participate in initiatives or projects to enhance inventory management efficiency through process improvements, automation and technology adoption
• Analyse operational data to identify trends and recommend solutions for inventory management optimisation
Store Operations
• Execute and oversee inventory transactions through the Inventory Management System using RFID technology
• Manage end-to-end inventory processes including stock receipts, stock issuance, stock returns, stock adjustment and stock transfers
• Ensure adherence to Inventory Manual, internal SOPs and guidelines and safety protocols during all store operations and escalate any deviations to the Store Supervisors for decision making
• Supervise contractor workmen and coordinate their activities to optimise warehouse operations
• Conduct regular stocktakes and verify against system records to ensure accuracy, escalating any discrepancies to supervisor for investigation
Maintain Store Organisation and Safety Standards:
• Design and implement efficient storage layouts and retrieval systems
• Implement proper storage practices and conduct daily housekeeping to prevent hazards (clear aisles, stable stacking)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and improve service delivery
What we are looking for
• Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or relevant fields
• Tech-savvy and proficient in using digital tools and applications (e.g., mobile devices, RFID scanners). Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Able to work in industrial warehouse environment: Must be able to adapt to non-air-conditioned settings and various temperature conditions, wear required PPEs (safety shoes, safety vest, helmets and gloves) when required, handle physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy/bulky items, and job involves frequent walking during working hours
• Experience in supply chain management or public service is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams
• Valid Class-2 or Class-3 driving licence with vehicle preferred, as you may need to travel between stores to support operations
