What you will be working on
- Conduct research on regional defence capabilities
- Monitor, analyse and identify trends in their defence procurement strategy, defence collaborations and technology development
- Produce high-quality, original research reports
- Present research findings to military leaders and relevant stakeholders
Challenge(s)
- Keeping pace with the rapid changes in the defence and security landscape affecting the countries-of-interest, influencing their defence capability development and collaboration strategies
- Staying ahead of the curve and identify new trends and developments
- Synthesising large amounts of information
- Communicating complex issues to non-specialists
- Working under tight deadlines to deliver high-quality research products
What we are looking for
- Education in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies or a related field
- Prior relevant experience in research and analysis is preferred
- Defence capability research background is advantageous
- Strong English language command
- Excellent writing abilities
- Critical thinking skills
- Comfortable to work independently or part of a team of analysts
- Interest and knowledge on current technology developments and their implications to defence capability
