You are responsible to head the Naval Performance Management (PM) Branch and manage all PM processes, National Day Awards administration, and performance-related payments for personnel under External Work Attachment Officer Scheme (EWOS), Defence Executive Officer (DXO), and Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) schemes. You will ensure data accuracy and policy compliance across all ranking and promotion activities.

What you will be working on
- Prepare ranking data and perform secretarial duties for annual ranking and promotion boards, including verification of ranking nominal rolls and promotion eligibility analysis for all EWOS/DXO/DSTA personnel
- Administer performance-related payments including ad-hoc bonuses, salary revisions, and release of withheld payments
- Rectify any salary discrepancies or uploading issues for personnel
- Initiate the commencement and facilitate the Performance Appraisal Cycle (PAC)
- Ensure timely submission of all ranking related documents by the units for PAC
- Oversee the administration of Third Sergeant (3SG) to Second Sergeant (2SG) anniversary promotions and ensure accurate Year-in-Rank (YIR) and Year-in-Grade (YIG) calculations
- Provide comprehensive logistical support, including the purchase, indent and accounting for all promotion-related items for promotees
- Administer National Day Awards (NDA) for both military servicemen and civilians within the Navy
Challenge(s)
- Working with tight deadlines due to the high tempo nature of Performance Management work, requiring multi-tasking and completion of large volumes of transactions within specific time-frames
- Ensuring accuracy and currency of wide arrays of dynamic personnel data that directly impact ranking, promotion and payments
- Reacting swiftly to ranking and promotion policy changes while accurately advising ranking boards and senior officers
- Maintaining productivity under pressure whilst streamlining work processes to ease workload without compromising quality, efficiency and effectiveness
What we are looking for
- Education in Human Resources or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in administration, preferably in human resources or personnel management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Ability to adapt quickly to policy changes and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
