What the role is

You are responsible to reinforce ground safety supervision and ensure ground safety enforcement in the unit. You will sustain unit safety knowledge management and foster a strong safety culture across all levels of operations.

What you will be working on

- Reinforce ground safety supervision and ensure consistent safety enforcement across the unit - Sustain and enhance unit safety knowledge management systems and processes - Develop and implement safety protocols for special operations that enable mission success while maintaining safety standards - Foster a strong safety culture in the unit - Conduct safety assessments and risk evaluations for training activities and operations - Coordinate safety training programmes and briefings for personnel across different entities - Monitor and report on safety performance indicators and incident trends Challenge(s) - Enabling personnel to view safety as an operational enabler that allows them to do dangerous things safely, and not as an inhibitor to operational outcomes - Ensuring a strong safety culture at every level where every soldier takes ownership of safety, especially with the unit's decentralised nature

What we are looking for

- Education in technical or scientific fields - Prior military experience in high-risk vocations is advantageous - Good organisational skills - Strong supervisory abilities - Effective inspection skills Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
