What you will be working on
Your main roles and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
• Keep abreast of global latest technological trends and develop deep technical expertise in emerging and cross-cutting domains relevant to PUB’s needs including decarbonisation and carbon management
• Initiate R&D projects with research collaborators and carry out technical evaluation of R&D proposals or new technologies to assess feasibility, scalability and suitability in meeting PUB/Singapore’s current and future needs.
• Closely manage R&D projects with multiple stakeholders to ensure the projects meet their objectives, deliverables and timeline and enable timely translation and deployment to deliver operational, environmental and economic value to PUB/Singapore.
• Support the development and deployment of technologies in decarbonisation particularly in carbon capture, utilisation and storage within the water sector
• Support the structuring and implementation of initiatives that strengthen the pathway from research to deployment, including pilots, validation platforms and industry engagement
• Quantify the outcomes of R&D investments through Return on Investment (ROI), Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) and where relevant, carbon abatement and sustainability impact metrics
• Develop and manage key partnerships with international organisations and external stakeholders to advance technology development and deployment.
• Support the development of technology roadmaps and strategic planning for funding initiatives, with inputs from multiple stakeholders.
What we are looking for
• Degree in Engineering
• Candidates with at least 2 years’ relevant experience, practical knowledge and/or deep expertise in the area of carbon capture, utilisation and storage.
• Good writing and communication skills
• Self-motivated and passion in building technical expertise
• Strong analytical and systematic thinking
• Works well independently and also a resourceful team player
