What the role is

The Public Service operates in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving environment that demands new ways of thinking, working, and organising. To remain effective and relevant, public officers must be equipped with capabilities that allow them to manage complexity, innovate, and drive change. The Transformation Capability Development team plays a key role in building these capabilities across the public sector.

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities  You will be part of the Public Sector Transformation (PST) Cluster and will report to the team lead of the Transformation Capability Development team. You will support the team’s execution of strategies to build and scale core capabilities that enable public officers to lead transformation efforts for their teams and agencies. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the following: - Serve as the principal secretariat for the Public Sector Transformation (PST) Awards, supporting end-to-end operational coordination across the awards cycle, including stakeholder liaison, update of standard operating procedures, managing awards timeline, answering queries etc. - Support the review of PST Awards in areas of work such as developing presentation materials/briefing slides, supporting engagements with stakeholders, coordinating with stakeholders, scheduling appointments etc. - Provide administrative support for various capability development initiatives (e.g. tracking workplans, supporting engagements, scheduling appointments, secretariat duties, note-taking). - Support content development and event logistics across PST (e.g. organising of events to mobilise PST movement, create visually appealing branding materials such as electronic-direct mailers, decks). - Provide support for any additional duties within the PST Cluster as required.

What we are looking for

Key competencies for this role include: - Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines to ensure timely delivery - Comfortable providing administrative and operational support where required - Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to develop content and support communications where needed - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders - Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and contribute ideas to improve processes and ways of working - Supports implementation of enhancements across programmes, awards, and secretariat functions - Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and consistency across deliverables - Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment - Positive team player with a strong sense of ownership - Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience in content development or event support is an advantage Only shortlisted applicants will be notified within 2 weeks after closing date. Successful candidates will be offered a 6 months contract (with an opportunity to extend another 6 months).
