What the role is

Lecturer (Common Engineering Programme) / School of Engineering

What you will be working on

  • Teach Electronic Prototyping, Embedded Systems Programming, and at least one additional discipline (e.g. Analogue & Digital Circuits, Physics, or AI/Machine Learning).
  • Prepare and deliver subject materials, assignments, and assessments; review and enhance curriculum design, delivery, and assessment effectiveness.
  • Conduct lectures, tutorials, and student consultations, including meeting SAR‑147 requirements where required for Aerospace teaching.
  • Track and maintain student attendance; participate in subject review and team meetings.
  • Stay current with industry and educational developments through engagement with industry and professional communities.
  • Participate in staff and/or student projects with industry partners.
  • Take on additional duties as required (e.g. student competition training, outreach activities, club advisor or programme coordination roles).

What we are looking for

  • Qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong technical competence in at least two of the following areas:
    • Product design and prototyping
    • PCB design and fabrication
    • Analogue and digital systems
    • Embedded systems
    • AI / Machine Learning
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • A team player with good communication skills and a strong interest in engaging students.
  • Able to work independently, multitask effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
