What the role is

Drive strategic marketing and digital engagement initiatives for MUIS' key community funds including Zakat, Fidyah, Kafarah, and OurMasjid.SG, whilst supporting policy development and operational excellence within a statutory board environment. Lead innovative marketing campaigns across digital and mainstream media channels to enhance Singapore Muslim community awareness, engagement, and contributions across these vital Islamic financial instruments, ensuring sustainable growth and maximum community impact.

What you will be working on

Primary Roles:

Digital Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies across multiple platforms to promote Zakat and community funds, leveraging AI-powered tools for content generation, audience segmentation, and predictive analytics

  • Create engaging content for social media channels, websites, and mobile applications to drive community participation

  • Design and implement targeted campaigns for different demographic segments within the Singapore Muslim community

  • Analyse campaign performance data and develop strategic recommendations to guide future marketing decisions and budget allocation

Mainstream Media & Traditional Marketing

  • Develop and coordinate omni-channel marketing campaigns across mainstream media including print, radio and television

  • Design integrated marketing campaigns that seamlessly blend digital and traditional media approaches

Community Engagement & Donor Stewardship

  • Transform campaign analytics into compelling public narratives that demonstrate MUIS' impact, build community trust, and inspire increased participation in Zakat and community fund initiatives

  • Manage donor database and design stewardship programmes to support retention

  • Develop educational materials to support awareness programmes in understanding Islamic financial obligations (incl, Zakat, Fidyah, Kafarah)

  • Conduct public surveys and feedback collection initiatives to gather community insights that inform strategic decisions for Community Funds Cluster

Secondary Roles:

  • Assist in monitoring fund performance and operational metrics, preparing impact assessment, and key performance indicators for review

  • Provide support for digital platforms and payment systems to ensure optimal zakat experience and system reliability across all community funds

  • Support unit’s operational initiatives including streamlining processes for efficient fund collection and distribution and coordination with community partners, incl. mosques, to expand outreach

  • Support any policy formulation for Zakat collection, distribution, and fund management through research, analysis and engagement with key stakeholders across the zakat ecosystem, and facilitate alignment with partners on implementation, ensuring compliance with statutory board regulations

What we are looking for

Education and Experience

  • Tertiary education in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Public Policy, or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or related fields

  • Experience in social media marketing and content creation

  • Exposure to government or non-profit sector environment preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and basic analytics

  • Understand IT systems, content management, and digital payment platforms

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and basic data analysis tools

  • Familiarity with graphic design software and content creation tools

  • Basic knowledge of government processes and compliance requirements

Specialised Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of Islamic finance principles, particularly Zakat concepts

  • Awareness of Singapore's multicultural environment and engagement practices

  • Understanding of digital security and data protection basics

  • Knowledge of statutory board operations preferred

Core Competencies

  • Strong communication skills in English and Malay

  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Creative thinking with attention to detail

  • Collaborative approach and ability to work in teams

Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
