Assistant Manager (Facilities Management and Engineering Department) - Contract
What the role is
What you will be working on
The role requires you to work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to:
To oversee and manage the FM for NEA facilities, tracking of contractor’s deliverables and performance, and working with stakeholders to address FM related issues
To gather stakeholders’ feedback, review maintenance, and repair data to draft requirement specifications, and to manage the Repairs & Redecoration (R&R) works for hawker centres managed by NEA.
To process and evaluate stall/centre-level Addition & Alteration (A&A) works applications, productivity electrical load applications, and Works Approval applications.
To carry out budgeting, processing of payments, tracking of expenditure relating to FM/R&R works
To conduct site inspection/audit to check on R&R/A&A/FM works.
To conduct admin fee/service charges review.
To implement smart FM initiatives or technology/innovation trials at hawker centres managed by NEA.
To assist the supervisors in any other assigned tasks and undertake any other ad-hoc projects.
What we are looking for
2 years of relevant working experience in facilities management, built environment is preferred.
Knowledge in Government contract management would be advantageous.
Familiar with local Codes of Practices, statutory authorities’ requirements, and FM operational practices.
Self-motivated and comfortable with fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
Excellent communication and analytical skills with problem solving attitude.
Meticulous, organised, and able to multi-task.
A good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Comfortable with IT systems and has some experience in data analytics.
Able to travel to NEA sites for meetings and conduct site inspection independently
