What the role is

You are responsible for the leadership, governance, and oversight of finance, logistics, and infrastructure support across Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC). You will ensure prudent financial management, effective logistics coordination, and serviceable infrastructure to enable safe and uninterrupted training operations.

What you will be working on

- Lead and manage the BMTC Logistics & Finance Section - Provide oversight to Finance & Logistics Managers and their teams - Exercise control over BMTC financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure management and compliance with Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) financial policies - Plan and oversee logistics, facilities and maintenance support across BMTC schools - Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment and infrastructure - Provide BMTC-wide finance and logistics oversight and advisory, ensuring standardised practices and effective stakeholder and contractor coordination - Act as principal Finance & Logistics advisor, providing regular reporting, recommendations and support for operational planning and resource optimisation Challenge(s) - Managing financial data integrity while being accountable for the accuracy and proper utilisation of BMTC financial resources across multiple training schools - Sustaining operational readiness through effective logistics coordination and facilities management to support continuous training operations

What we are looking for

- Education in Finance, Business Administration, Logistics Management or a related field - At least 2 years of relevant experience in financial planning, budgeting, cost control and governance is preferred - Demonstrated leadership and people management capability in a complex operational environment - Working knowledge of logistics and facilities/infrastructure management - Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external parties - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - High standards of professionalism, compliance and attention to detail - Occasional field visits will be required to support operations (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
