What the role is

You support the Head of Training Analytics in analysing data to derive insights and recommend improvements to Basic Military Training Centre's (BMTC) training outcomes.

What you will be working on

- Analyse BMTC training, attrition and safety data to identify trends, risks and systemic gaps across multiple units and training programmes - Integrate data from multiple training, medical, safety and administrative systems - Develop dashboards to support command decision making - Provide data driven recommendations to improve training effectiveness, safety outcomes and attrition management based on comprehensive analysis - Govern BMTC data use cases and analytics capability, including alignment with Army Training Analytics Branch (TAB) frameworks - Serve as point of contact for data and digital training initiatives - Support BMTC training development initiatives to strengthen recruit performance and commitment through analytical insights - Ensure accurate and timely reporting to support command decision making and control measures Challenge(s) - Managing large scale analytics across multiple units and training programmes, with evolving metrics and ad hoc requirements to support command priorities - Requiring close collaboration across multiple stakeholders and integration of data from diverse systems and transient units - Demanding strong analytical and visualisation capability, sound judgement, and the ability to present objective, actionable insights with technical and analytical rigour

What we are looking for

- Education in Data Analytics or a related discipline - At least 6 years of relevant experience in data analytics and visualisation - Proficient in data analytics and visualisation tools such as Python, Power BI, and Qlik - Strong written, verbal and presentation skills to engage effectively across civilian and military stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations for decision making - Able to support training activities on the ground, including occasional field visits Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
