What the role is

You will lead a team at the intersection of analytics, engineering performance, human factors, and operational effectiveness. You will integrate multi-domain datasets to generate insights across key subsystems including Crew Suitability, Dependability, Availability, Trainability, Safety and Useability (Human Factors Engineering). This leadership role requires both analytical depth and systems-level thinking to support decision-making at operational and strategic levels.

What you will be working on

- Develop and refine integrated data models that consolidate training, operations, maintenance, safety and human performance data across multiple domains - Design performance frameworks and identify leading indicators to proactively manage platform suitability and design out safety risks - Conduct and oversee trend, degradation, reliability and training effectiveness analytics to support operational excellence - Lead longitudinal and impact studies to assess effectiveness of introduced initiatives and measure performance improvements - Translate complex analytical findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations for senior leadership to inform policy and strategic decisions - Supervise and develop team of analysts whilst strengthening analytical governance and standards across the organisation - Synthesise insights from diverse data sources to influence platform engineering design decisions both upstream and downstream Challenge(s) - Synthesising heterogeneous, multi-source datasets across diverse subsystems with varying data maturity levels whilst maintaining data integrity and reliability - Developing reliable leading indicators that meaningfully predict performance degradation or safety risks in complex operational environments - Converting complex, multi-dimensional data into actionable insights that effectively influence policy and platform engineering design decisions

What we are looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science/Analytics/Business Analytics, Statistics/Applied Mathematics, Human Factors Engineering/Ergonomics, Reliability Engineering, or Engineering/Systems Engineering - Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in data analytics, engineering performance or operational analytics with proven experience in conceptualising performance frameworks and data models - Experience in handling multi-source structured and semi-structured datasets with strong data integration and analysis capabilities - Minimum 3 years' experience in supervising and managing dynamic teams with demonstrated leadership and team development skills - Demonstrated experience in delivering analytical reports and influencing senior leadership decision-making using analytics - Strong systems-level thinking with ability to understand complex interactions across multiple domains - Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical findings into strategic recommendations Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
