We are looking for a passionate and motivated Research Analyst who will be involved in developing and driving research initiatives to provide in-depth understanding of the people NLB serves. You will play a key role in facilitating management decision-making by providing strategic and tactical insights into NLB’s patrons and Singaporeans. This position reports to a Assistant Director in the Research team.

What you will be working on

• Develop and drive quantitative and qualitative research projects
• Design appropriate research instruments for data collection
• Work with stakeholders to determine research objectives and requirements
• Analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data
• Update data pipeline and dashboards for key research studies
• Manage vendors in project implementation, including monitoring fieldwork progress and quality control
• Present results to stakeholders and make recommendations on how to best use research findings

 

What we are looking for

• Background in the Social Sciences or a related field
• Working experience as a research analyst, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods is preferred.
• Experience within the public service in similar research roles is an advantage.
• Good analytical ability, conceptual thinking, planning, project management and organisational skills
• Works well independently, as part of a team and with stakeholders and vendors
• Pro-active, quality-conscious, attentive to details, customer-oriented and results-oriented
• Good written, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Proficient in the use of statistical analysis tools (e.g. SPSS) and data visualization applications (e.g. Tableau)
• Proficiency in Python coding would be an advantage, but it is not a mandatory requirement.

The successful applicant will be appointed on an initial 2-year contract.
