As Engineer/Architect (Upgrading Project Management), you will represent HDB to work with the consultants and contractor in the execution of upgrading projects; such as the Home Improvement Programme. You will be involved in managing the project from inception till completion, to ensure the drawings, specifications and contractual requirements are complied with and the project objectives are met. Your responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating the design, tender and construction processes to ensure quality, cost, safety and timely delivery of the project.

What you will be working on
During the pre-construction stage, you will work with stakeholders to identify potential construction issues. At construction stage, you will manage, guide and direct the contractors, consultants and site supervision team (Resident Engineers and Resident Technical Officers) to ensure and oversee the daily construction activities and stakeholder engagement plans, including:
works are carried out in accordance with the Contract Documents
works are supervised to ensure the quality of works are of an acceptable standard of workmanship
site safety requirements are adhered to
works are completed within the period stipulated and the budget allocated
resolve technical and design issues with the consultants and contractors
coordinate with other agencies on any technical and regulatory issues
implement effective stakeholder engagement communications plan
engage and update relevant grassroots stakeholders on the projects’ status
The Engineer/Architect (Upgrading Project Management) is also required to carry out improvement studies in the areas of construction safety, productivity, quality and costs, and also in supporting upgrading operations and within the organisation.
What we are looking for
You should have background in Architecture or Engineering (Civil/ Structural/Mechanical/Electrical), recognised by the professional boards in Singapore, or equivalent qualification. You should have a positive learning attitude, strong technical problem-solving, good writing and communication skills, and willing to engage relevant stakeholders. Candidates with relevant working experience and with the right attitude are welcome to apply.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract.
