About the Registry of Muslim Marriages and Syariah Court:
The Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) and Syariah Court (SYC) are key institutions for the Singapore Muslim community. ROMM aims to help build strong and stable marriages and families while SYC seeks to be a reliable, dynamic and just court which inspires confidence and to best serve the Muslim community.
You will manage and supervise the daily Court and Registry operations of the Syariah Court, including resourcing needs and administering critical tasks in the digital case management system, to deliver quality customer-centric services.
This role is essential for maintaining the Court's operational integrity, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements, supporting the digitally transformed delivery of court services and liaising with external stakeholders.
You will oversee court operations whilst balancing traditional procedures with digital transformation requirements. You'll supervise teams, manage complex inter-agency relationships, and provide technical expertise for seamless service delivery. Using operational oversight and system administration skills, you'll ensure effective case disposal, maintain service quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in court processes and customer experience.

What you will be working on
Your responsibilities include:
a. supervise and guide daily operations of the Court, Registry and frontline teams to ensure compliance with the Administration of Muslim Law Act, Muslim Marriage and Divorce Rules and internal SOPs
b. plan and manage daily deployment of permanent and casual officers and draft court calendars to enable optimal scheduling based on available resources
c. provide administrative support for the Court's digital case management system and implement operational enhancements and improvements
d. coordinate with multiple government agencies (MSF, CPS, HDB, LAB, FJC, Prisons, CPFB) and provide governance support for statutory appointments.

Competencies:
Service Operations Planning and Management
• Supervise daily court operations and ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements
• Manage resource deployment and scheduling to optimise operational efficiency
• Draft, implement and maintain standard operating procedures across court processes
Digital Design and Management
• Provide technical support for digital case management systems and infrastructure
• Evaluate and implement system enhancements to improve service delivery
• Balance traditional court procedures with innovative digital solutions
Customer Experience and Service Design
• Design and map services for different customer segments and situations
• Implement system enhancements and monitor service quality across digital and physical channels
• Evaluate processes using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement in service delivery
Experiences and traits:
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in operations management, systems administration, or court operations
• Strong technical proficiency in database management systems and digital service platforms
• Experience in staff supervision, performance management, and inter-agency coordination
• Knowledge of legal procedures and compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
