What you will be working on
• Serve as a valued partner to MOM departments on project funding requests and related matters, including providing expert guidance on programme evaluation
• Contribute to the annual Centre of Government funding process by evaluating proposals from MOM departments and Statutory Boards, ensuring the robustness of these proposals
• Analyse, evaluate and value add to project funding requests using robust analytical methods, including cost-benefit analysis, to support informed decision-making and ensure effective resource allocation
• Analyse resource allocation trends and performance to identify optimisation opportunities, whilst reviewing and updating cost methodologies to maintain accuracy and relevance in financial planning
• Design, develop and refine financial policies, frameworks, and guidelines that strengthen MOM's financial management capabilities and ensure robust governance and control mechanisms
• Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to transform, streamline, and digitalise internal workflows, contributing to a more efficient and effective organisation
What we are looking for
• Knowledge in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with preferably at least three years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis, business partnering, or auditing
• Experience in Government agencies/public organisations, with knowledge in public sector financing system and governance will be an advantage
• Strong analytical capabilities and sound decision-making skills, with the ability to deliver quality work within tight timelines.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to engage with key stakeholders at all levels
• Strong written and presentation skills, with basic understanding of AI tools and their applications
• Highly motivated with positive working attitude
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
