What the role is

Manager/Senior Manager (Space Management)
You will be the key member of a team in charge of the operation, facilities management and facilities maintenance of MPA properties and execute effective facilities management strategies to improve operations of the facilities

What you will be working on

You would be responsible to establish, monitor and maintain a high service standard at MPA properties, including MPA’s tenanted space and infrastructures leased/outsourced to external vendors.
Your key responsibilities include the following:
• Ensure that maintenance of MPA’s facilities are up to expected standards to support the daily operations.
• Work with vendors/contractors and private operators to ensure smooth operation of the facilities.
• Work with stakeholders for retrofitting works, infrastructure development and general maintenance (i.e. pest control, landscaping and cleaning services etc) and ensure that the contractors perform their services as stipulated in the service contracts.
• Plan the budget requirements and work with the Procurement team on the tendering and awarding of the iFM and other facilities management, operation and maintenance contracts.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to integrate green initiatives in facilities management strategies of MPA to explore harvesting of green and renewable energy so as to reap greater energy efficiency.
• Participate in the planning of the development of new facilities to ensure that the design and development of facilities takes into consideration of operation and maintenance requirements to minimize operation and maintenance costs.
• Support the development and implementation on Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health policies, procedures and manual, implement risk analysis assessments and surveys to identify potential areas of hazards in term of facilities management as member of the Workplace Safety & Health committee.

What we are looking for

You should possess knowledge in Project & Facilities Management/ operation/Engineering or its equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant working experience in Building and Facilities Management. You should be independent, detail-oriented and possess the ability to work well under pressure. You should also be a good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work closely with stakeholders and public agencies on land use & planning, security, health and safety matters related to MPA properties. Experience in the management and operation of commercial property such as cruise centre, ferry terminals, marinas, piers etc and/or operations command centre would be an added advantage. You should have a broad understanding of benchmarks, guidelines and standards such as Green Mark and Energy Trends and Conservation.

Candidates will be appointed on a 2-year contract in the first instance.
