What the role is

You lead strategic operations excellence initiatives to ensure MINDEF's operational readiness and resilience. You will spearhead critical capability development while managing a team of three managers and driving innovation across operations, crisis preparedness, and internal collaboration platforms.

What you will be working on

- Shape MINDEF's operational capabilities in service delivery to ensure essential services remain uninterrupted during national emergencies and periods of heightened security - Test and validate MINDEF's readiness through national SG Ready exercises, directly contributing to Singapore's crisis management preparedness - Oversee Parliamentary operations by coordinating responses to Parliamentary Questions and Committee of Supply debates, ensuring seamless government accountability processes - Drive digital transformation through managing MINDEF's primary intranet platform - Organise MINDEF-wide events to strengthen employees' sense of pride and purpose, such as the National Day Observance Ceremony Challenge(s) - Operating at the intersection of technology and operations while balancing diverse portfolios spanning crisis planning, digital innovation, and ceremonial events - Managing complex stakeholder relationships across government agencies while ensuring operational continuity during critical periods

What we are looking for

- Education in Organisational Planning, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field - At least 6 years of relevant experience in organisational planning and development, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), or resource planning and management - Experience in operations management is highly preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ablility to engage effectively across all levels of government and stakeholders - Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
