Assistant Director (Contract Management) - Kranji

You provide Formation-level oversight of the Army's outsourced contracts, including high-value and high-risk contracts, to ensure strong governance, effective risk management, and alignment with the Formation's contracting strategy while safeguarding transparency, fairness and value-for-money.

- Ensure robust contract establishment, evaluation and governance in line with public sector procurement principles - Drive alignment of contracting activities in line with the Formation's overall contracting and outsourcing strategy - Provide assurance on contract management outcomes through reviews and stakeholder engagements - Set standards and governance frameworks, providing guidance and oversight for consistent contract management across the formation - Uphold and develop the competency and quality of personnel involved in contract management and execution Challenge(s) - Exercising effective oversight across a complex portfolio of high-value and high-risk contracts - Balancing ad hoc requirements and changes in user requirements with strong governance, compliance and risk management

- Education in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field - At least 6 years of relevant experience in contract management or procurement - Experience in establishing and negotiating contracts for Government agencies is preferred - Strong communication, negotiation and writing skills - Willingness to travel overseas for work occasionally Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
