Business Development of Association Congresses to be held in Singapore.

The manager will contribute towards Singapore’s positioning as a leading destination for association conventions and meetings, through working with international organisations, local associations and Singapore MICE industry stakeholders to secure significant international business events to Singapore within the following industries (may subject to change):

a) Space & Aerospace

b) Defence & Security

c) Transport, Logistics & Supply Chain

Through gathering and analysing market intelligence data, he/she will help to increase Singapore’s competitiveness in creating and/or acquiring new business events.

The manager will need to be proactive in undertaking business development activities, both local and overseas (some travel required), working with Regional Offices in bids for conventions & meetings to build a pipeline of association conventions. He / she will work on cultivating and engaging stakeholders to achieve targets and other strategic objectives.

In addition, the manager will also support conventions and meetings sector growth by implementing industry developmental programmes and initiatives.

Key relationships:  

1.Local and international Association clients and key MICE intermediaries

2. Local MICE and tourism industry

3. Internal – Regional offices

What we are looking for

a. At least 3 to 5 years of working experience

b. Analytical ability and strong writing skills

c. Interpersonal communication skills

d. Strong business development or customer account management
