Assistant Manager/Manager (Sanitation and Vector Control)
What the role is
What you will be working on
In Sanitation and Vector Section, you will lead a team of officers to conduct vector-related surveillance, manage outbreaks and liaise with stakeholders to implement control measures. You will also investigate feedback related to cleanliness, littering and smoking in prohibited areas, educate the public on good environmental practices, and conduct enforcement on related offences.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities:
- Professional certification in environmental health or vector control preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in environmental health operations with at least 1-2 years in supervisory or team leadership roles.
- Experience in vector control, sanitation management, enforcement activities, and community engagement.
- Experience in technology systems and data management preferred.
- Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication and coaching abilities
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Adaptability and flexibility in changing operational environments
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Committed and willing to work outside office hours
