What you will be working on
As the Engineering Executive/ Senior Engineering Executive of the Ionising Radiation Control Department in the Regulation Division, you will enforce radiation safety regulations and advance Singapore’s radiation protection framework through:
- Implementing the Radiation Protection Act and its Regulations, ensuring that all users of radiation comply with safety requirements across Singapore
- Evaluating of health and environmental impacts of radiation exposure, as well as processing applications for radiation licences
- Providing guidance to applicants in their licence applications and enquiries on licensing-related matters
- Conducting inspections of medical and industrial premises that handle irradiating apparatus/radioactive materials
- Preparing inspection reports and assessments based on the information gathered from inspections
- Performing other duties as may be required of you under purview of the Regulation Division
What we are looking for
Job Requirements:
- At least a polytechnic diploma in a science or engineering related discipline
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Highly self-motivated and resourceful
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
- Meticulous and resourceful
- Organised and able to multi-task
