What the role is

You will be part of the HR Policy team, supporting the implementation and administration of HR policies and processes. In this role, you will contribute to a range of HR functions, including payroll and claims administration, staff benefits, awards and performance management administration. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, compliance with policies, and provide timely support on HR-related matters, while contributing to ongoing process improvements.

What you will be working on

• Process monthly payroll and claims accurately and in a timely manner. • Perform reconciliation of payroll and claims-related transactions in accordance with the monthly accounting schedule. • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all payroll and claims records. • Maintain supporting documentation for payroll and claims for internal and external audits. • Process and monitor staff claims and reimbursements, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders on payroll and claims-related matters. • Process ad-hoc payroll requirements, including off-cycle payments (e.g. variable bonuses). • Process monthly invoices for work-related service benefits (e.g. transport, telecommuting subsidy, and overseas travel entitlements) in accordance with MTI policy. • Respond to queries on staff benefits such as transport policy, telecommuting subsidy, overseas travel entitlements, and medical and dental claims. • Support the administration of Long Service Awards (LSA) and National Day Awards (NDA), including procurement of items (e.g. neckties and scarves). This includes liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the NDA Award Ceremony. • Provide administrative support for performance management related matters, including scheduling of performance ranking sessions. • Provide support to other HR functional areas as and when required.

What we are looking for

• At least two years of work experience in processing payroll and claims. • Good written and verbal communication skills • Strong IT literacy and proficient in working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint • Those who are familiar with Government Instruction Manuals and HR IT systems will have an added advantage. • Resourceful, meticulous, organized and independent • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
