Manager/ Projects (Coastal & Marine) - Contract
What the role is

An external committee of domain experts provides advice on these projects. Publication of results and policy recommendations for the management of the coastal and marine environment are key deliverables of the team. Team members are expected to work collaboratively with each other, and with counterparts working in related areas within NParks and other agencies.
What you will be working on
You will be working closely with other members of the branch to support the following tasks:
- Support the Marine Climate Change Science (MCCS) Programme through administrative and coordination tasks, including:
Administrative management of MCCS research projects including review and compilations of annual reports and claims to ensure processing in an accurate and timely manner.
Work closely with project managers and key stakeholders on the management of research projects to ensure timely submission and monitoring of project milestones
Briefing MCCS project teams and researchers on grant administration processes and respond to administrative queries
Tracking of expenditure and budget management
Record-keeping of key documents and decisions in repositories, including providing support for audits
- Support the team on programme-related meetings, workshops and administrative coordination with internal and external stakeholdersSupport the team on coastal and marine-related engagement and outreach events, workshops and/or international meetings.
What we are looking for
• Area of studies in Finance, Accountancy, Life Sciences, Environmental Management or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in grant or procurement governance, audit or finance administration, administration of grants and/or R&D projects, and/or contract management will be an advantage.
• Strong Interest in Singapore’s marine environment and research
• Possess good writing, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
• A meticulous, resourceful and self‑driven team player who can work independently, multi‑task and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Experience in Workday or IGMS is preferred
