What the role is

This role will work closely with the respective curatorial, education, and outreach teams to ensure research is effectively translated into exhibitions, educational materials, and other public-facing platforms.
What you will be working on
Reporting to the Head, of the Research Unit, you will work closely with the curatorial, education, outreach and programming teams at MHC and IHC to develop and implement interpretive strategies that translate RU’s research outputs into accessible formats for exhibitions, education, and public engagement. You will manage the integration of research into both digital and physical platforms, ensuring that research supports and enhances programming initiatives.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Collaborate with curatorial, education, outreach, and programming teams to integrate and conceptualise research findings into exhibitions, educational programmes, and digital content
Oversee the editorial process for research outputs, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and consistency across all public-facing materials
Initiate and manage new projects to increase public access to research and heritage materials, through partnerships with external institutions, digital platforms, and community groups

Work Experiences and Knowledge
Preferably at least 3 years of experience in heritage interpretation, museum curation, or a related role, preferably with a focus on translating research into public-facing content
Strong understanding of heritage research methodologies and their application in exhibitions, education, and digital content
Experience in managing editorial processes and developing interpretive content for exhibitions, digital platforms, and educational programmes
Strong communication and writing skills, capable of producing clear, engaging content for diverse audiences

Comfortable with fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines
Passionate about preserving and sharing cultural heritage, with an understanding of Singapore’s diverse communities
