Senior Engineering Executive / Assistant Engineering Manager (IWMF - Store)

What the role is

You will be part of the team that is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the storage facility in Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) at Tuas South area. The detailed work scope and responsibilities are as follows:

What you will be working on

During Project Phase:

  • Oversee the setting up of stores for the Electrical Substation (ESS), EPC1 and EPC2.

  • Coordinate between Mechanical Technical Team (MTT) / Electrical Technical Team (ETT) and the contractors for the storage, tagging, identification of all types of spare parts etc when delivered.

General scope and responsibilities:

  • Store Operations Management.

  • Managing inventory control systems and stock levels.

  • Implementing and maintaining storage procedures.

  • Ensuring proper receipt, storage and dispatch of materials.

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records.

  • Prepare monthly and yearly store reports for management. 

  • Plan and prepare for monthly and yearly internal and external store audits.

  • Supervising warehouse housekeeping and safety standards.

  • Personnel Management.

Administrative Duties

  • Processing requisition orders and documentation.

  • Maintaining storage facility records.

  • Coordinating with suppliers and internal departments.

  • Managing stock reconciliation.

  • Preparing periodic reports on inventory status.

  • Implementing cost-control measures.

  • Quality Control.

Ensuring proper storage conditions for materials

  • Monitoring shelf life of stored items.

  • Conducting regular stock checks.

  • Maintaining storage facility standards.

  • Implementing proper material handling procedures.

What we are looking for

  • Possess diploma in electrical, mechanical engineering or logistics, supply chain management with around 3 to 5 years of working experience in store or warehouse.

  • Good knowledge of various safety and environmental laws and other statutory regulations.

  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Able to carry out the work meticulously and responsible manner.

  • Able to work as a team member and collaborate with others to complete tasks assigned.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Possession of valid Forklift Operator License will be an advantage.
